going ga-ga - J1301, a sign?

1) 2009 is proving to be a year full of fun and hardships.
2) I had NAPFA yesterday. Hehe. Results were definitely disappointing. Can't blame it though. It's only to be expected since I only ever did pull-ups, standing broad jumps, shuttle runs and running once a year, which is during NAPFA. haha. Sit-ups, which used to be my strength, has ceased to be one. haha. Cuz gym training in JC is super duper slack. I never do PTs anymore. So... Let's see... sit-ups deproved by 7 from my highest NAPFA score in sec 3. Dropped from 63 to 56. Shocking. I've always hit 60. Standing broad jump was bad. Deproved from highest score of 205 to 190cm. I guess that's the consequence of not doing frog jumps anymore in PT. haha. Ok, sit and reach was quite ok. Don't know why though. I hardly ever stretch for warm-ups anymore. So I improved by 11 cm from 55 to 66 cm. Then pull-ups was a nightmare. Last year I did 40. This year was 31. I can't see any reasons for it. I never ever train for pullups in my life. So I don't know why I deproved... hm... Is it cause I never carry books as heavy as last year's? Or the fact that I've been doing less handstands? Then shuttle run was a let-down too. Score dropped by 0.1 sec to 10.9sec. Then next week I've got 2.4km run. Oh mannnnnnn, I've not trained for it. This is gonna be bad...
3) I spent the happiest time I've had in the whole week in gym. HAHA. Sooo happy. I'd actually planned to go there and train. But then, due to OTHER PEOPLE'S influences, I ended up playing and doing crazy stunts which turned out to be a good thing. :D:D:D So, I didn't wait for the others and went to high school myself. Then started by jogging 9 rounds around the floor. Wanted to do 10 but people started training there so I had to stop. Then did some stretching. More than I had done almost this whole year. Was gonna practice my routine on the trampoline when team mates arrived and crashed my plans. haha. So MAN did this cool double front somersaults into the sponge pit. Tan and I were impressed. We wanted to do it as well. So Man said to practice doing a high somesault first. Then after that, just keep going and don't hesitate. And we did it! Whoohoo. The sensation is really cool. Like flying through the air with the wind in your face. Really nice! haha. But that's when I injured myself. haha. real stupid. Cuz when you're doing double somersaults, you're travelling at a faster speed rite? So then I landed and smacked my face onto my knee. OUCH. haha, lip was bleeding. And I thought the right side of the face was swelling up. It didn't though, thank goodness. Then lao da was like, why did you close ure legs? Then I was like but you have to close your legs to curl up right? Then she said no it's a basic thing you learn when you first learn front somersault. haha I said I've never learnt somersault from a coach, I learnt it myself. So anyway, after that, I had a fear of doing double somersaults already. And couldn't do it very well anymore. :( But then, that turned out to be a good thing! haha. Cuz then I tried to do front pike and a full 360 degrees twist. Resulted from seeing Man doing it. and Tan and I did it! whoohoo!!! So proud of ourselves! haha. Well, we actually learned the basics for it already through barani. So we just had to turn a bit more that's all. haha. Then after awhile, I grew bored and started practicing doing the barani plus one more half twist thingy on the trampoline. and yay! I could land! But only on the crash mat though. I don't wanna kill myself. But Man is just crazy. She spotted Jun Yan doing the running-up-the-wall-then-doing-a-back-somersault thingy. So she thought for a really long while. AND THEN JUST DID IT. like omg. She's super crazy and pro. But of course, she was from the junior national gymnastics team after all. hehe. Oh, one downside though. I've found out the hard way that I can't do back somersaults on ground level anymore. haha. So yeah, yesterday was real fun. :)
4) And today, I have really bad bodyaches. Let's name a few: neckache, slightly swollen lip, thigh ache, backache, stomach ache, shoulder ache... OK. Basically, everything's really sore right now. In fact, it was rather difficult for me to get out of bed today. Hurts to get up, cuz I gotta use my stomach muscles right? haha. Even my toes are sore. Not to mention my brain. Spent half an hour this morning attempting to do ONE maths question which turned out to be ridiculously simplistic. haha.
5) Okay, a whole pile of homework's waiting for me in my room. Gotta lessen the load a bit. haha. Going now. Cya all soon! :D
P.S. It's quite hard not to get distracted these days...

Mood swings on the see-saw

1) It's been strange this past week. Haha. Slept on the floor for the two nights before competition. Then screwed up competition for the second consecutive time. Which made me cry for the first time in public this year. Then slept like crazy over the next three days. I slept at 8 on Thursday. Then 9 on Friday waking up at 9 plus. Then ten on Saturday waking up at 9. And the most strange thing of all? I didn't even sleep last night. Crazy right? haha. No, it wasn't because I didn't try to. I. Just. Couldn't. Which totally pisses me off. If there is one thing I hate, it's lack of sleep. Went to bed at 12. I laid there for one hour. Then started realizing I wasn't drifting off to sleep the way I usually do. So I waited. Then checked my phone. It was 2am. I tried to stay still in one spot. Read that in order to drop off to sleep, body temperature must first be lowered. So, I tried to keep my breathing even. 3am. For some strange reason, my heart was beating faster. Like I was afraid of something. I didn't know what. Realized it was the ghost hour. Kept tossing around. 4am. Counted sheeps doing somersaults, double somersaults and twists. I felt so awake and alert. My eyes weren't even drooping over. Was even considering revising mentally over the contents and the outline of the econs essay later in the morning. 5am. Gave up on trying to get to sleep. Just thought about the day lying ahead as I waited for the alarm to ring at 5.45am. The most absurd thing of all the absurd things so far was that for the whole of today, I wasn't even sleepy or tired at all. In fact, I felt more awake than I usually do even on days when I've slept well the night before. It was like I'd had such a restful sleep the like of I've never had before. A-ma-zing... I have two hypothesis regarding this strangest of phenomenoms. One: I had slept too much in the past three days. Two: I had two cups of milk tea during the day. Well, one thing's for sure, and that it is the FIRST TIME, I repeat, the FIRST TIME, I've ever not slept the night before school. IN FACT, IT IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE NOT SLEPT BEFORE. Whoohooo! One milestone crossed over for me! haha, and no, on the contrary, I don't consider this a good thing...
2) Okay, shall do homework, eat, then do homework then sleep. HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to sleep tonight! Keeping my fingers crossed...
3) The events of the past week have deeply disturbed me. Hope I get over it soon. :) Haha, though now that I think of it, I most probably will not. I havn't even gotten over last year's screwup. :(
4) My wishlist for this year? a) Make real good friends that I can trust. :D So far, I know I'm on the way there. :D:D:D b) Uh, okay, that's all I can think of for now. hehe.
5) Yay, my cousin unwittingly answered my silent prayers and bought me a school bag! Whoohoo! And we watched Gran Torino on Saturday, which was a really good and touching movie. :D:D:D. Okay, gotta go do homework now. Cya all 'taters!
