A Highlight of the Day
They installed new ropes at the gym for physical training. So I tried it with Lao Da after training. Haha, so I climbed it. My first time climbing a rope. Yohoo! And you know the gym is like 2 plus stories high. So while I was climbing midway I looked down. Woah! Shouldn't have done that. Haha, the ground was freaking far away. Reached the top. Then was panicking on how to get down. Haha. Cuz I was nearly out of strength. Wanted to just let go and fall into the sponge pit. But looking down again made me lose my nerve. Haha so I just climbed/slid down before finally letting go and falling into the pit. Then while I was in the pit, something caught my eye and I looked down. WOAH. my right foot and leg had these really bad abrasions. And they weren't just normal abrasions, they were those really big, really UGLY-LOOKING abrasions. I was shocked. Not because it looked ugly or whatever. But because I didn't even feel the pain! Now why was is like that?
Haha, so my friends noticed, were shocked too, mentioned something about "rope-burn" then took me to see Mr Lim. Haha, he exclaimed when he saw it. So did the other coaches. Haha, then immediately knew where I got them from. Said just to let go and fall next time. Then was adding some ointment/liquid thingy. I remember hearing him saying something like it will hurt. My first thought after he put some drops of the liquid onto one of my wounds was: Huh? But my wounds weren't hurting at first already, what do you mean they will hurt? Second thought which occured a second later was: You don't mean its the liquid right...? Oh-oh...
Then BAM! Pain slammed into me. Haha ok that was exaggerated. Anyway, I was screaming. Okay not screaming. Uh shouting? hmm nope. I was shrieking, for want of a better word. Haha. Turned out, the liquid was alcohol. Haha, and they were all lauging at my pain. SADISTIC people. Hmph. Mr Lim kept saying to blow on it. But I was kinda in too much pain to listen to what he said? haha. Then he said to let him apply to the other wound. I was like NOOOOOO and covering the other wound with my hands. Haha. He just laughed and insisted on it. I relented in the end. Haha. So went through another episode of all the shrieking and moaning. This time, I still couldn't draw breath between my shrieks to blow on the alcohol, so lao da helped me. HAHA. And then Sianglin was just standing at the side laughing and saying how this was all so funny. lol. Now that I'm in infinitely less pain and am looking back at this, I'm also laughing. Kinda funny actually. It's so comical, as if this sort of thing doesn't happen in real life. Haha.
Anyway, moral of the lesson is: When climbing ropes, don't slide down. You will get rope-burns. Haha. Anyway, lao da and Sianglin asked me why I didn't know better. I said it was my first time climbing. Haha cuz in their previous schools, they used to climb ropes for physical training. So they knew not to slide down. Haha.
Aww man. The abrasions are going to affect my trainings. And I can't wear shoes. And lao da swears I'm limping but I'm not! There's going to be this workshop on monday and tuesday. Sigh, hope I can participate in the activities without them causing me pain. :(
Haha, but I still think it's cool. I always wanted to have big wounds like these. They make me look rugged and tough. haha! Though it's a bit gross at times. Cuz white liquid (I think it's blood platelets and plasma? Ugh forgot all my o level biology content already) keeps oozing out. So the wounds look bright and shiny. Haha. Kinda cool to draw. Okay sorry I like to think of this from an artist's point of view.
Alright. It's 11.30pm. LATE. Gotta go sleep. Night:D Man, today was such a fun day. training. then that crazy episode. then went to lao da's house to watch she's the man which was a really great show. then went to eat dinner with mom and bro at some really nice and homely seafood restaurant. What more can I ask for? :D:D:D Good night!
